Leadership Promotions Within Tech Logic

Tech Logic is pleased to announce the promotion of Tim Granquist to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Effective immediately, Tim will assume responsibility for the leadership of Tech Logic’s business operations.

Tim joined Tech Logic in 2016. Before Tech Logic, Tim gained experience in the library industry as the Director of Library Relations for Serials Solutions, which became part of ProQuest in 2004. Serials Solutions was founded to alleviate library patrons’ frustrations with navigating electronic resources, providing libraries with better academic research workflows and management services.

“Tim joined Serials Solutions when it was just an idea,” said Peter McCracken, co-founder of Serials Solutions. “He quickly became a core part of the creation of the company and was soon an equal owner and contributor to Serials Solutions’ success.”

“Without question, Tim valued the input and feedback that customers provided,” Peter said. “Tim listened and brought that information back to the product and technology teams so we could keep improving the services we provided.”

When Tim joined Tech Logic in 2016, he collaborated closely with libraries as a Senior Solutions Specialist. This collaboration continued when he was promoted to Director of Product Management. Highlights from these roles include strengthened relationships across the library industry, streamlined sales demonstration workflows, valuable service on Tech Logic’s executive leadership team, and library-centered product guidance for the launch of major Tech Logic solutions like baseCAMP, batchTRANSIT, and selfCIRC LOCKER.

Now, Tim brings his passion for library-centered products and his vision for efficient workflows into his role as Tech Logic’s Chief Operating Officer.

“Tim has provided Tech Logic with very steady leadership and has contributed greatly, not only to our products, but also to Tech Logic’s vision as a long-standing member of the executive leadership team”, said Gary Kirk, Tech Logic’s President. “I am thrilled for Tim and this opportunity he has to carry out his vision and dreams for our great company.”

Filling Tim’s former role as Director of Product Management is Al David. Since joining Tech Logic in 2013 as a Software Engineer, Al has served as an integral part of Tech Logic’s product development and automation teams. Highlights include a commitment to quality documentation for Tech Logic’s product portfolio as well as crucial development work for Tech Logic’s solutions, including our award-winning staffCIRC TRAK shelf management solution.

Prior to his position at Tech Logic, Al worked as a Senior Software Engineer for medical device companies, including Saint Jude Medical and Medtronic. Al received his technology education from courses he took at Century College and Saint Paul College in Minnesota. Throughout his schooling and professional career, he has gained extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in embedded systems, software development, product development, automation, and databases.
