Senior Solution Specialist – North Central Region
Position reports to: Director of Sales & Business Development
***This is a remote, outside sales position. Candidates residing in the North Central Territory (US—IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, WI // CANADA—AB, MB, NT, NU, SK) preferred, but not required.***

JOB SUMMARY: The Solution Specialist (Outside Sales) position at Tech Logic will primarily consult with libraries in the North Central Region (US—IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, WI // CANADA—AB, MB, NT, NU, SK) to define a need or problem, they conduct research to obtain data, and analyze problems to advise on or recommend solutions. This is completed by utilizing their documented record of accomplishments in high-end technology sales to end-users and government entities. The ideal Solution Specialist is a fast starter, sharp, dynamic, and not afraid to make cold calls to develop new relationships. In this position, you will be required to meet or exceed a sales quota. The Solution Specialist must interview and analyze the client accurately in order to generate successful selling of libraries products or services. The Solution Specialist needs to have the ability to adjust a general product or service to fit the customer's exact needs, desires and expectations Tech Logic exclusively serves libraries and offers every component necessary for sophisticated Automated Material Handling (AMH) Systems, and Self-checkout (SCO) RFID and barcode-based systems. Tech Logic’s products ease the workload associated with sorting, moving, and placing library items, and patron self-service.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
         
Responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts or region and for meeting annual sales targets.
          Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from own professional network, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, newspapers, business directories, and other sources.
          Maintain data in CRM
          Builds and maintains resea
rch on prospective and current customers relating to how each customer is organized hierarchically, brands, channels, and key relationships.
          Establishes and maintains current customer and potential customer relationships.
          Gains clear understanding of customer’s business requirements.
          Creates business cases and high level financial models including ROI analysis to help in positioning and selling of technology-based solutions to solve business problems.
          Prepares presentations, proposals and demos to prospects/customers.
          Identifies and resolves customer concerns.
          Expectation of in-territory sales travel 3 out of 4 weeks per month (US—IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, WI // CANADA—AB, MB, NT, NU, SK)

QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EXPERIENCE:
          
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
          3+ years demonstrated outside sales experience in software, IT or an IT related field. Library Industry experience highly preferred.
         Experience selling software or technology – either stand-alone offerings or combining products and services that meet the customer’s business needs.
          Strong professional network including existing customer relationships.
          Travel as necessary within the territory to grow business
          Accurate forecasting and reporting to help budget company numbers. 
          Candidates residing within the sales Pacific Region territory preferred, but not required.

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME
Salary: $65,0000-70,000.00 /year + Commission
