Tech Logic team members got the chance to visit Round Rock Public Library (RRPL) and see, first hand, what this library has accomplished in the heart of downtown Round Rock. As we toured their new library facility, we got to connect with library staff, hear about their passion for patrons, and see a people-first mindset in action. Throughout the library space at RRPL, efficient and organized workflows empowered staff to spend more of their time connecting with patrons. The hospitality was tangible.
On the opening weekend for RRPL's new facility, over 10,000 patrons came to the library. Also during opening weekend, the public returned over 8,500 library items, and library staff issued over 380 library cards.
Tech Logic's solutions contribute to the atmosphere of efficiency at RRPL. The library uses RFID tags throughout their collection for fast, easy circulation with no visual line-of-sight required. The library's self-checkout kiosks allow patrons to check out handfuls of material at a time. Their security gates maintain a subtle aesthetic with robust detection and reporting. Their AMH system cuts time, effort, and repetitive motion for both staff and patrons.
